DESCRIPTION:\nThe Winston-Salem Estate Planning Council is pleased to invite you to an exclusive panel discussion on Tuesday, September 30th at 5:30pm at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Conference Center (3333 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston Salem, NC 27103) with guest panelists and local experts. Our estate planning attorney, physicians, and financial advisor will address topics such as: asset protection strategies tailored for physicians, avoiding common estate planning pitfalls, and planning for practice succession, retirement and other considerations.  \n \nA very special thanks goes out to our sponsor the Novant Health Foundation.\n \nThis will be a moderated discussion. Social hour and cocktails begin at 5:30 p.m. The program will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at approximately 6:45 p.m. If you wish to submit questions beforehand for the panel, please feel free to email estateplanningcouncilws@gmail.com.\n \nAttendance is free for EPC members. Fees for invited guests of EPC council members are $50/guest. There are no fees for affiliated guests of Novant.\n \nRSVP Deadline: Tuesday, September 16th, 2025 at 5 p.m. EST. \n \n\n\nAttendees are encouraged to bring your name tags. Blank name tags will also be provided at the event. \n \nPanelists:\n \nBryan Thompson is a partner with the firm of Robinson & Lawing, LLP.  He was appointed Public Administrator and Public Guardian of Forsyth County, North Carolina in 2006, Public Administrator and Public Guardian of Davie County, North Carolina in 2010, and Public Administrator and Public Guardian of Davidson County, North Carolina in 2017.  In this role, Bryan is called on to provide estate administration and guardianship services as an independent person when required by the Court. His legal practice areas are broad and include the following:  Elder Law, Wills and Estate Planning, Trusts and Estates, Guardianship, Corporate Law, Collections, Taxation, Consumer Law, Residential / Commercial Real Estate and Health Care Law.  Attorney Thompson is an active speaker and presenter for various professional conferences on the topics of public health, governmental programs and elder / disability law.\n \nDr. Andy Schneider joined Forsyth Plastic Surgery in August, 1999. Today he serves as Chief of Staff at Medical Park Hospital, and Chief of Plastic Surgery at Forsyth Medical Center. In addition, he is on the Novant Forsyth Medical Center Foundation Board and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons Public Education Committee. Dr. Schneider is also a member of the Board of Visitors for Camp Sea Gull and Seafarer. He served as President of the North Carolina Society of Plastic Surgeons in 2009. He has served on the Board of Trustees at Forsyth Country Day School. Dr. Schneider is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.\n \nDr. Dan Forest is an anesthesiologist with Piedmont Triad Anesthesia. He previously served as a full-time professor at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. He also did his residency at the Wake Forest University of Medicine. Dr. Forest is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.\n \nShana Eagle, CFP is a Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor and Portfolio Management Director with Morgan Stanley. Her services include financial planning, retirement planning, 401k rollovers, long-term care insurance and estate planning strategies. She describes herself as a 'recovering attorney'. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, she spent 17 years at Wachovia and Wells Fargo as a lawyer and senior vice president leading a team of investment professionals, sales and relationship managers overseeing 401k / pension plans, executive compensation and corporate trusts.\n \nModerators:\n \nW.
